Big home wins

The Cyclones racked up 23 more runs and two wins in their sweep of Olive-Harvey College at home on March 20.

GAME 1
Robert Warchol was the player of the first game, going 4-for-5 at the plate with two singles, a double, triple, two runs and 4 RBIs. He led the way in this 13-6 victory.

The Panthers scored in their first at-bat, plating three runs. Danzel Lucas (1-for-2) got the Cyclones on the board in the bottom of the first with a sac fly to score one. Although down 3-1, the second and third innings are where the Cyclones pulled away. In the second inning, Brian Funk (1-for-3, RBI) singled in a run, a single by Warchol lined in two and a double from William Miller (3-for-4, 2 RBIs) scored one. Miller later topped off the game in the sixth with a homerun. Gilberto Hernandez added 2 RBIs and Lucas totaled 3 RBIs.

Daniel Rosado led things off on the hill going one-third of an inning, allowing three runs and striking out one. Daccarius Chapman threw in relief for three innings, striking out five, but Augustin Velazquez earned the win, going three innings, allowing two runs and striking out five.

GAME 2
The second matchup wasn't a blowout for much of the game. Maximus Bullock started up the offense in the first with a run-scoring triple, but it wasn't until the six-run sixth inning that elevated the Cyclones to the 10-3 win. In that sixth, Thomas Carlson, Hernandez (1-for-1, 2B), Funk (2-for-2, 2 RBIs) and Warchol (2-for-5, 2 RBIs) each had RBIs. Meanwhile, the Cyclones held off the Panthers' offense until the fifth inning when they got on the board with one run.

Tim Roe earned the win after two innings, allowing zero runs on one hit and striking out two. Ryan McEvoy, Ryan Grand and Cole Hermanson contributed in relief.
