Windy woes

Windy woes

The wind was no one's friend today. Despite the conditions, the Cyclones were unable to bounce back from an offensive onslaught from Triton College.

For the first two innings, the Cyclones were on their game, but the second inning is where Triton blew it open by scoring on three singles and four home runs thanks to the wind blowing straight out. The Cyclones bounced back with four runs of their own in the third inning led by a single from Alex Martinez and double from Andrew Tenison. The Trojans, however, continued to push back and eventually deal a 16-6 loss to the Cyclones.

Brendan Gill led things off on the hill for the Cyclones, allowing seven hits and eight runs over one and two-thirds innings while striking out one. Daniel Rosado and Byron Scholp entered from the bullpen, throwing two and a third and two innings, respectively.

The Cyclones still were able to tally seven hits to the Trojans 15 with Stephen Insley, Christopher Villafuerte, Tyler Sinclair, Deven Jones and Patrick Hayes all contributing hits in the affair.
