Cyclone offense on fire

Cyclone offense on fire

Moraine Valley and Morton College met again in a doubleheader taking two more wins—7-1 and 12-5.

Two three-run innings were the key in the Cyclones' first game. Niles Gall had a long ball in the third for 2 RBIs and Thomas Moran went 3-for-3 with one RBI to lead at the plate. Timothy Dobrik earned the win after going seven innings and surrendering one run but striking out three.

The Cyclones were down for the first three innings in the second game, when the Panthers scored five. A big seven-run third inning kept Moraine Valley alive. Brenden Butler, Jake Peterka, Thomas Moran and Gilbert Jaime-Baez all drove in runs that inning on homeruns. Butler was an RBI machine, driving in five on two hits from a homerun in the third and a double in the fourth. Thomas Engraffia started in the circle, but Xavier Rosado earned the win.
