The Cyclones made quick work of Illinois Valley Community College in the NJCAA Region 4 quarterfinals, defeating the Eagles 3-0.
In their third meeting of the season, the Cyclones knew what they needed to do to earn another win over the Eagles and move on to the semifinals. They remained consistent and steady throughout the three sets (25-13, 25-23, 25-10).
In the third set, sophomore Mary Zielinski earned her 1,000th kill of her career to set a Cyclone record. She finished the night with 17 kills and eight digs. Ava Pequette collected 28 assists and six digs while Sophia Davidson had 18 digs and Lily Avelar had 12.
