Among the roar of students and buzz of the 2023 Skyway Conference banner raise before the match, the Cyclones made quick work of Waubonsee Community College for a 3-0 victory.

The crowd gave the Cyclones an extra boost in the win (25-10, 25-22, 25-12) with some nice plays from Ava Pequette, who finished with 27 assists and 10 digs, and strong offense from Mary Zielinski, who collected 16 kills. Sophia Davidson finished the night with 19 digs while Lily Avelar had 14.

Prior to the game start, the team revealed their 2023 Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference championship banner. It also was Pack the Place, which brought more spectators to the gym in Building G for a more lively event.
