It was a slow start for the Cyclones in their home opener with Harper College, but they eventually bounced back for the 3-1 victory (22-25, 25-21, 25-13, 25-13).

The Hawks didn't make it easy, throwing the Cyclones off in the first set with big spikes and long rallies. However, Moraine Valley found their rhythm and regained momentum to take the win in four sets.

Mary Zielinski led with 26 kills and added 11 digs, and Ava Pequette led with 30 assists. Sophia Davidson collected 31 digs while Lily Avelar had 25.
