The Cyclones started their run at the Waubonsee Tournament with a split after two matches.
In their first morning match, the Cyclones were handling Sauk Valley Community College with some ease for the first two sets. However, they became complacent, allowing the Skyhawks to make a comeback and losing the last three: 25-18, 25-15, 18-25, 18-25, 12-15.
Mary Zielinski led with 30 kills and Brooklyn Condon had 32 digs, 14 kills and four aces.
Moraine Valley bounced back against Rock Valley College with a quick three-set victory: 25-13, 25-7, 25-12.
Cayla Neville had four blocks, and Sophia Davidson collected 11 digs. Ava Pequette notched 11 digs and 23 assists while Condon finished with five aces.
