The Cyclones started their weekend tournament at Waubonsee with a 3-0 win over Sauk Valley Community College.

Although it was a sweep (25-23, 25-22, 26-24), it wasn't an easy win against this solid team that has previously been nationally ranked this season. In the third set, the Cyclones were down 18-23 but regained some strength for the win.

Ava Porada collected 33 assists and eight kills while Kaila Butvilas had 15 kills. Ava Theoharis finished with 28 digs and two aces, and Takiyah Clark accumulated five blocks.
