Season opener arrives for Cyclone volleyball

Season opener arrives for Cyclone volleyball

After waiting all fall and a few months into winter, the Cyclones were finally able to get on the court in their season opener tonight. Although it was a long time coming, they fell in three sets to Triton College.

The Cyclones lost 25-19 in the first two sets and after a brief lead, fell 25-15 in the third for the loss to the visiting Trojans. The Cyclones are still working out the kinks and developing a stronger defensive front but have plenty of talent to get them there.  Brianna Knezz led the way with 10 kills and 12 digs while Marriel McCaskill had nine kills and 11 digs. Nicole Ramirez ended the night with 19 assists and 14 digs. Lily Saenz added 13 digs.
