The Cyclones came out in full force against the nationally ranked Olive-Harvey College, stringing some runs together for the 93-68 victory.
To start the first quarter, Moraine Valley jumped to a double-digit lead before the Panthers made a comeback to get within one. In the next quarter, the Cyclones lost the lead before Laila Houseworth sunk a three-pointer to get her team ahead and into a 40-36 halftime lead. The Cyclones shut down the Panthers' offense in the third quarter, holding them to just six points while collecting 29 of their own. Then a 14-2 run at the start of the fourth quarter put Moraine Valley out of reach as they ballooned their lead to 30 points before settling in for the 25-point win on the road.
Jadea Johnson and Shakila Brownlow each scored 22 points while Brownlow also added a game-high 15 rebounds along with five steals. Houseworth had limited minutes in the game because of foul trouble but still finished with 19 points and six assists. Lily Hernandez and Danielle Dempsey each added nine points.
