Third quarter hurts Cyclones

Third quarter hurts Cyclones

One rough quarter set the Cyclones back in their 58-50 loss to Prairie State College.

Once the Cyclones scored in the first quarter, they stayed ahead and led 12-10, continuing their lead into the second quarter. It was a third-quarter surge from the Pioneers that hurt the Cyclones as they only scored 10 to Prairie State's 27. Although Moraine Valley pressed in the final quarter and held the Pioneers to just seven points, it wasn't enough to retake the lead.

Jadea Johnson had a big game with 24 points, 13 rebounds and seven steals. Robin Stevenson added 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
