A late-game surge wasn't enough to get the Cyclones ahead in their 92-82 loss to Kankakee Community College on the road.
What the Cyclones improved on from their last game was their free-throw percentage. This time, they went 15-for-19 from the line, however, there were too many missed shots from the floor until the fourth quarter. The Cyclones stayed within range and trailed 39-32 at halftime. It wasn't until the final quarter where Moraine Valley outscored the Cavaliers 35-31, but they ran out of time to make a bigger run.
Jadea Johnson led the offense with 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Robin Stevenson collected 15 points, six rebounds and four steals. Isabel Lopez added 14 points, 12 of which came from three-pointers. Deniza Fuentes scored 11 while Olivia Baxa had 10.
