Aggressive side comes out in Cyclones victory

The aggressive side of the Cyclones came out in their latest victory over Joliet Junior College, giving them the 73-56 edge.

Moraine Valley jumped out fast and sharp on an 8-4 run to help them lead 27-8 after the first quarter. The Wolves didn't sit back, however, they fought to get within striking distance, but the Cyclones still led 40-25 at halftime.

In the second half, Joliet continued to battle back and came within eight points. However, a barrage of Cyclone three-pointers put the game out of reach for the Wolves.

Jadea Johnson led the effort with 23 points and a season-high 20 rebounds along with four steals. Isabel Lopez and Olivia Baxa each chipped in 14 points. Deniza Fuentes added 12 points. Lopez, Baxa and Fuentes were each 4-for-6 from the three-point line.
