Cyclones drop one to Golden Eagles

Cyclones drop one to Golden Eagles

It took one rough quarter before the Cyclones gave Rock Valley College a challenge, but they ultimately dropped the matchup.

The Cyclones had the skill to compete with the Golden Eagles, but they didn't have the consistency. The first quarter saw the Cyclones struggle offensively as they only scored seven points. The two middle quarters saw a different team, however. Moraine Valley scored the same amount of points as Rock Valley in the second quarter (13) and was only one point shy in the third (15). They hung in there but had too big a deficit to gain any ground in the 82-44 loss.

Olivia Baxa led the offense with 12 points. Deniza Fuentes and Sarah Burton each scored eight. Colleen Zarembski, Amari Cole, Andrea Robertson and Burton each had six rebounds while Robertson added seven blocks.
