Just short

Just short

In their latest matchup with Prairie State College, the Cyclones battled the entire game but came up just short against this conference rival, falling 64-53

From out of the gate, Moraine Valley jumped to a 15-8 lead before the Pioneers went on their own run to narrow the gap. Foul trouble for Andrea Robertson and Robin Stevenson hurt the Cyclones, particularly in the second quarter when they were stunted on offense. At halftime, the Pioneers held a slight five-point lead.

The game stayed close the second half as the Cyclones came within two at the four-minute mark. However, free throws down the stretch created the final margin.

Sarah Burton led the offense with 16 points. Olivia Baxa added nine points, all from three-pointers. Amari Cole ended the night with a season and career high 18 rebounds. Andrea Robertson continued her defensive dominance with 16 rebounds and four blocks.
