Improvements in tough battle with Panthers

The Cyclones showed improvement in their latest matchup with the dominant Morton College Panthers.

The last time these teams met, the Cyclones struggled on offense and were slow to keep pace with the nationally ranked Panthers. This game, they had a better handle on the court. The first quarter moved slowly, but Moraine Valley nearly matched the point scoring in the second quarter (20-23) and outscored Morton in the fourth (19-18), losing 98-60.

Amari Cole led the effort with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Deniza Fuentes and Robin Stevenson each had 11 points. Andrea Robertson added seven rebounds to continue leading the NJCAA Division II with defensive rebounds (256) and move up to No. 2 for total rebounds (323).
