The Cyclones' battle with Kankakee Community College came down to the final moments. Moraine Valley lost a heartbreaker 64-63.

To start the game, the Cyclones jumped out to a commanding lead, holding the 10-point advantage at the end of the first quarter. However, the Cavaliers fought back, and it was back and forth into the final minutes with Moraine Valley on the short end.

In her debut with the Cyclones, Sarah Burton led the offense with 14 points. Olivia Baxa was close behind with 12 points, nine of which were three-pointers. Andrea Robertson had a commanding control on defense with 14 rebounds and 10 blocks. Robin Stevenson added 11 rebounds.
