Cyclones eke out win on the road

The Cyclones got back to business with a 56-50 victory over McHenry County College.

It took a fourth-quarter surge by the Cyclones to eke out their first victory of the new year. Both teams kept the score close, each taking the lead. At halftime, Moraine Valley held a slight 22-21 edge, but the Scots battled back with a two-point lead after the third quarter. The Cyclones offense bounced back in the final minutes of the game, scoring 22 points in the fourth quarter for the six-point win.

Keyshia Armstrong led the effort with 21 points followed by Amari Cole who had a double-double this outing with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Andrea Robertson collected 10 points and a game-high 18 rebounds and six blocks. Colleen Zarembski grabbed 16 rebounds.
