Finding the win on the road

In their final game before the brief holiday break, the Cyclones found a way to win, taking a 64-55 victory from Olive-Harvey College.

Although the Panthers scored first, the Cyclones took a quick lead thanks to a three-pointer from Deniza Fuentes. They never trailed after that. Moraine Valley led by as much as 12 before halftime.

In the second half, the Panthers jumped out with a 6-0 run, but the Cyclones held on to the lead. Three big three-points from Olivia Baxa (x2) and Fuentes along with two free throws from Keyshia Armstrong in the last 50 seconds kept the team ahead in the fourth quarter.

Fuentes led in scoring with 16 points, going 4-for-9 from the three-point line. Colleen Zarembski and Amari Cole each added 12 points. Zaremski collected a game-high 13 rebounds while Cole had 12 as did Andrea Robertson. Armstrong added 11 points, 13 assists and four steals.
