A narrow loss at the end

A narrow loss at the end

Facing Kankakee Community College is always a challenge for the Cyclones. After leading most of the game, Moraine Valley narrowly lost 78-75.

It was only in the final few minutes of the game that the Cavaliers gained the lead in part due to foul trouble and errors from the Cyclones. The Moraine Valley offense cooled off in the fourth quarter after scoring 47 points collectively in the second and third. They jumped ahead early and led by as much as 14 points in this matchup. However, Kankakee bounced back and led by four points with two minutes left in the game. The Cyclones got it down to one point on a Reagan Cameron three-pointer, but the Cavaliers hit free throws down the stretch to counter. With eight seconds left, down by three and in possession, Moraine Valley struggled to get the ball to Cameron who was open for another three, and took the loss.

Cameron led with 21 points while Aden Edebali added 11 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Aubree Schultz contributed 10 points, and Autumn Jones had five steals.
