Cyclones continue winning ways

In their second Skyway Conference game of the year, the Cyclones (8-6) grabbed a 64-54 victory from the visiting Waubonsee Community College Chiefs (5-9).

It was another slow start for the Cyclones, but they were still able to hold a 15-12 lead at the end of the first quarter. The offense was slow in the second quarter, as the Cyclones didn't score until roughly three minutes in on a field goal and two free throws from Autumn Jones. The Chiefs stayed within striking distance, but Moraine Valley still held the 28-21 lead at the half.

The third quarter is where Waubonsee had an offensive surge and their first lead of the night. A couple of three-pointers from Mary Chronopoulou helped get her team back ahead where they remained the rest of the game. Aside from that quarter, the Cyclones outscored the Chiefs, leading to the 10-point win.

Aden Edebali led the offense with 16 points, including four three-pointers, and added four assists and eight rebounds. Chronopoulou added 14 points and four assists. Reagan Cameron chipped in 13 points while Jones collected 12 points and eight boards. Jayla Lamb led the team with 12 rebounds for the second consecutive game.
