Cyclones hold on for the win

The Cyclones got back to .500 with a 66-63 win over Kishwaukee College.

Moraine Valley started off fast to take a 15-6 lead but Kishwaukee went on their own 5-0 run to close within four at the end of the first quarter. The Kougars took the lead in the second quarter but the Cyclones continued to battle back and were down by one at the half.

Fouls tripped up the Cyclones in this game, leaving them short on players. In the fourth quarter, they regained a nine-point lead only to have the Kougars come back and lead 63-62. An Aubree Schultz drive gave Moraine Valley the lead for good, and she along with Andrea Robertson sunk free throws to seal the win.

Reagan Cameron led with 20 points. Schultz and Mary Chronopoulou (who went 4-for-5 from the three-point line) added 14 points each. Aden Edebali just missed a triple-double with 10 points, nine rebounds, nine assists. Robertson corralled 14 rebounds.
