Cameron scores 25 in loss to Panthers

The Cyclones knew they were facing a challenge against the nationally ranked Morton College Panthers. They were able to hold a brief lead but eventually fell 89-62.

At the start, the Cyclones brought their energy and pressed the Panthers. That gave Moraine Valley a lead for the most of the first quarter, including an 11-0 run in the first few minutes. However, the Panthers found their offense and had a few calls go their way to lead 20-16 by the end of the first quarter. The next 20 minutes saw the Cyclones earn sevearl fouls and a couple stretches where the offense struggled to score. In the fourth quarter, however, the Cyclones put more pressure on the Panthers, causing turnovers, and had their best offensive stretch, scoring 24 to the Panthers' 16. But it was not enough to overcome the deficit.

Reagan Cameron had a breakout game, leading the offense with 25 points. Katchie Savic added 13 points while Kelsey Kelley and Bashirah Muhammad each scored seven. Briana Sanchez was busy under the net with nine rebounds along with four steals.
