Cyclones end skid

The Cyclones ended a four-game skid with a solid 80-69 victory over Kankakee Community College.

Moraine Valley offense started strong early and steadily worked their way to an eight-point lead before settling in ahead 18-13 by the end of the first quarter. It was really the 25 points in the second quarter that allowed the Cyclones to build a 43-27 margin by halftime. The Cavaliers scrambled back within seven, but a few key 3-pointers from Reagan Cameron helped push the Cyclone lead back to double-digits and the ultimate 11-point victory.

Kelsey Kelley returned from a six-game absence due to injury to lead the Cyclones on offense with 15 points. Cameron scored 14, going 3-for-6 from the 3-point line. Maggie Manthey scored 12 while Kirsten Kamholz added 10 points. Mary Chronopoulou led the team with seven rebounds.
