The Cyclones are making improvements and playing better, even after suffering a loss at the hands of Waubonsee Community College.

This was a tough matchup, as the Chiefs nearly defeated the nationally ranked Morton College Panthers this season. Moraine Valley started out on fire, building an eight-point lead in the first quarter. That pace continued into the second quarter, where they led by three at halftime. The Chiefs, however, bounced back to get ahead. Moraine Valley saw a deficit in the second half and was able to get within four after being down 12, but ultimately suffered the 78-59 loss.

Katchie Savic was back in true form, securing 21 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks. Mary Chronopoulou added 11 points and six rebounds while Maggie Manthey chipped in 10 points and six rebounds. Some key players are returning this week to the roster, which should give the Cyclones a boost.
