Cyclones even the score with Trojans

Cyclones even the score with Trojans

With every team they face, the Cyclones keep upping their game and making strides. They proved it again tonight with a victory over Triton College.

A week ago, the Cyclones lost by eight points to the Trojans. This time they won by six. Moraine Valley came back from eight down late in the third quarter and pulled away in the final two minutes of the game to win 61-55.

Both teams started the game trading possession and deadlocking at 11 at the end of the first quarter. The Trojans only led by two at halftime before each team scored 15 in the third quarter after some scraping back from the Cyclones. It was the fourth quarter where the Cyclones were able to pull away for good with the victory.

As she continues to do this season, Chelsea Cross led the offense with 16 points. Marty Reeves took control under the basket, grabbing six rebounds. Katchie Savic added 14 points, five rebounds, six assists and a clutch seven steals this game. Jenna Ryan wasn't far behind with five steals along with 10 points. Also contributing were Kirsten Kamholz (eight points, five rebounds) and Emily Koziol (seven points).
