Cyclones take another one from Chiefs

The Cyclones earned their second win this season over Waubonsee Community College, flexing more of their offensive muscles.

The 91-67 victory started with a fast and intense first quarter from the Cyclones as they scored 31 to start. This is the first time this year Moraine Valley has banked more than 30 points in one quarter. Kirsten Kamholz led the early effort with 14 points. The team eventually ballooned their lead to 27 by the fourth quarter as the offense pushed forward. Kamholz finished with 24 points and eight rebounds. Marty Reeves added 23 points along with five rebounds, four assists and five steals. Natalia Trejo ended the night with 10 points and eight assists. Reeves and Kamholz each were 4-for-7 from the 3-point line.
