The Cyclones earned their second conference victory tonight, winning 78-65 over a tough College of Lake County team.

Before this matchup, the Lancers had won seven of their last eight games and were 12-6 overall. But Moraine Valley (11-4) was ready for the challenge. Although they were only ahead by three after the first quarter, they methodically built a 10-point lead by halftime (44-34). A huge third quarter, where the Cyclones scored 22 and held the Lancers to 11, proved to be the determining factor in the win. They held their highest lead of the night by 25 points. The Cyclones took off the pressure and saw the Lancers attempt a comeback in the fourth quarter, getting back within 10 with four minutes to go. Moraine Valley held on to the victory and overcame a stunning 45-point effort by the Lancers' Kylah Collins.

Chelsea Cross led the offense with 18 points and five assists. Nicole Poole added a double-double (17 points, 14 rebounds) and Kaeli Ford chipped in 12 points. Marty Reeves and Kirsten Kamholz each had four steals.
