Not their day

Not their day

The Cyclones were out-hit in their matchup with College of Lake County, losing both games on the road.

GAME ONE
At the top of the third inning, the Cyclones took a 1-0 lead after two outs. Annabelle Rush walked before Brooklynn Sedlak (3-for-4) doubled her across the plate. However, once the Lancers came up to bat, they took a 3-1 lead off of a few solid hits.

Moraine Valley tied the score in their next at-bat after Marissa Walsh (2-for-3) singled, Madelynn Larmon (1-for-3) reached first on a fielding error, and Stephanie Lohman (2-for-3) knocked them both in with a double to right field.

The Lancers had a hitting barrage the following two innings in combination with some Cyclone errors for the 11-3 loss.

GAME TWO
Errors hurt the Cyclones in this game as they lost 27-7. Although they put up seven hits, they committed 10 errors.

The Cyclones were leading the game 3-1 going into the third inning before the Lancers had a field day at the plate. Down 27-3 in the bottom of the fifth, the Cyclones scored four more runs but it wasn't enough to end the game due to mercy rule.

Keira Clancy had a good day at-bat, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and 3 RBIs. Lohman also played solid offense, going 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBIs. Estelle Loth (1-for-3, 2B, RBI) and Rush (1-for-3, RBI) and contributed runs.
