
It was a giant sweep for the Cyclones as they dominated Elgin Community College, scoring 37 runs over the two-game victory.
GAME ONE
The Cyclones didn't even allow one run in their 13-0 rout of the Spartans. They scored five runs in each of the first two innings. Over five innings, pitcher Brooklynn Sedlak allowed just one hit and struck out eight batters.
Among the contributors at the plate were Brialynn Mica (2-for-3, 3B), Sedlak (1-for-3, 2B, RBI), Estelle Loth (1-for-1, RBI), Marissa Walsh (1-for-2, 2B, 3 RBIs), Anabelle Rush (2-for-2, 2 RBIs) and Stephanie Lohman (1-for-2, 2B, 3 RBIs).
GAME TWO
The Cyclone bats continued to catch fire as they scored 10 runs in the first inning before ultimately winning the nightcap 24-7.
After three innings, the Cyclones were up 22-0. It wasn't until the bottom of the fifth when the Spartans finally got on the board to score all their runs.
Alexandra Wolcott took control on the mound, allowing seven runs and striking out five over five innings. Sedlak (4-for-4, 2B, 2 3B, 6 RBIs), Loth (4-for-4, 2B, 4 RBIs) and Keira Clancy (3-for-5, 2B, 4 RBIs) each had monster days at the plate, collecting 14 RBIS between them.
