Big hits and solid pitching give Cyclones opening victory

In an opening season game with Joliet Junior College, the Cyclone bats came alive to grab a 13-8 victory on the road.

Some solid hitting in consecutive innings helped give the Cyclones the lead starting in the third inning with shots from Marissa Walsh (2-for-4), Lohman, Brialynn Mica (3-for-3, 2B, RBI) and Samaya Frausto (2 RBIs). The fourth inning saw more hits from Walsh, Estelle Loth (3-for-4, 2 2B, 3 RBIs), an RBI triple from Annabelle Rush (1-for-4, 2 RBIs) and an RBI double from Madelynn Larmon (2-for-3).
