In their opening spring training game, the Cyclones got roughed up by the Community College of Rhode Island.

Facing a team they've never seen and playing just their second game this spring, Moraine Valley was putting all the pieces together. The Knights scored two runs in the first, fifth and sixth inning but really blew up the score with an eight-run seventh.

All nine of the Cyclones' hits were singles, starting with Mya Granados (2-for-4) in the first inning. Rachel Minnich, Emma Hansen, Riley Evoy, Ruby Amigon and Cassidy Ostema each had a single while Megan McClelland and Granados had two each in the 14-0 loss.
