Cyclones hit an off day

This wasn't an outmatched couple of games, it was just an off day for the Cyclones in their double loss to Joliet Junior College.

The two teams first met this season on March 19. Although the Cyclones lost that doubleheader, it was only by one and two runs. They lost this first game 11-3. The Wolves knocked two in after their first at-bat, but the Cyclones bounced back. Abbie Wantroba tied the game with a two-run triple. Danielle Travis scored one more in the fifth, but the Wolves broke open the game with a six-run third inning. The Cyclones scattered six hits total in this game. Ashley Roberts started on the mound for three innings, allowing 10 runs and striking out one.

The bats went quiet in the nightcap, where the Cyclones fell 13-0. Alexandria Palumbo singled in the third with a hard line shot to center. Danielle Travis had the other lone hit. Emily Gorski gave up 12 hits on 13 runs over five innings with three strikeouts.
