Offensive tap ran dry

Offensive tap ran dry

Just when the Cyclones needed it most, their offense tap ran dry. If they continued hitting like they have lately, Moraine Valley was easily in this game. They faced an always tough and talented Kankakee Community College but lost both games in the doubleheader.

The Cavaliers scattered a few hits over a few innings, but the Cyclones didn't get on the board until the bottom of the seventh when Emily Gorski (2-for-3) drove in Fran Beggs (1-for-3, 2B). But that was it as the Cyclones fell 6-1.

The Cyclones had a few more hits in the second game while the Cavaliers just kept hitting in the gap. They scored their lone three runs in the fifth inning from Beggs (1-for-3), Kara Riordan (1-for-3) and Lexi Udaykee, but ultimately lost 13-3.
