2020-21 Sophomore Send-off: Men’s cross country

The largely freshmen roster of cross country runners on the men's team say farewell to their lone sophomore, Carlos Galvan. He left is mark this past fall, helping his team reclaim an Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference championship while placing second overall to his teammate to earn honors.

Galvan earned a scholarship to continue running cross country and track at Saint Xavier University starting this fall. He intends to major in biology with plans to become a veterinarian.

"From a running perspective, I am very excited to see what he accomplishes. His work ethic and thirst for knowledge are unique and have helped him improve his running at a tremendous rate," said Head Coach Dimitri Dimizas. "He's been known to care for animals, so I'm glad he's figured out that path for himself."
