In their season and home opener, the Cyclones showed some dominance in a 7-2 victory over Oakton Community College.

The Cyclones have a seasoned team with four sophomores and two talented newcomers. In his college debut, Ixit Prajapati earned a bagel (6-0, 6-0) at No. 2 singles. Sophomores Matthew Doyle at No. 3 (6-4, 6-1) and Ryan O'Connor at No. 4 (6-2, 6-1), and freshman Henry Witek at No. 5 (6-4, 6-0) also earned victories. At No. 1 singles, Aidan Lysouvakon put up a tough battle, but came up short (3-6, 1-6). No. 6 singles was a forfeit win for the Cyclones.

At No. 2 doubles, Doyle and Witek earned their first win of the season as a pair (6-3, 6-1). Lysouvakon and Prajapati at No. 1 doubles fought through a three-set tiebreaker and narrowly lost (4-6, 6-4, 8-10). The No. 3 doubles spot was another forfeited win for Moraine Valley.
