Last year the Cyclones lost one match during the regular season to eventual conference and region champs, Prairie State College. Today the teams faced each other again, and although Moraine Valley suffered another defeat, they found a silver lining and won a few more games this time around.

The Cyclones knew they would be up against their toughest challenge and fought to the end, but lost 9-0 at home. At No. 1 singles, Nick Karczynski put up the strongest effort (3-6, 2-6). A few other wins came from No. 3 Seth Yaeger (1-6), No. 4 David Souza (2-6) as well as from each pair — No. 1 doubles Karczynski and Alex Kokoszka (1-6), No. 2 Yaeger and Souza (1-6, 2-6) as well as No. 3 doubles Tim Flynn and Mateusz Marusarz (1-6).
