NJCAA and Skyway Conference academic awards abound for Cyclones
The NJCAA recognized 30 Moraine Valley student-athletes with the 2023-24 All-Academic Team Award while four teams earned Academic Team of the Year. Additionally, 24 students were named Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) All-Academic Athletes of the Year, and 38 freshmen were named All-Conference Freshmen Academic Athletes of the Year.
Tryouts set for volleyball
Cyclones volleyball is ready to add more talented athletes to their winning program this fall. The team is holding tryouts on Friday, July 19, 5-6 p.m., in the Health, Fitness & Recreation Center (Building H) gym.

It’s celebratory for those student-athletes completing an associate degree or certificate, graduating and/or transferring to a four-year college or university, but it’s also sad when the Cyclones only have their athletes for two years and have to see them move on.
