We are the champions!

After a one-year hiatus, Moraine Valley brought back home the 2019-20 Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference All-Sports trophy.

Since the 2003-04 season, the Cyclones have earned the honor nine times. This trophy recognizes the collective achievements of a college's sports teams. Moraine Valley edged out rival Waubonsee Community College for the top spot. Over the last 13 years, these two colleges have traded possession of the trophy. Each of the eight colleges in the conference is awarded points based on its teams' eight highest finishes at the end of the year. The Cyclone men's soccer, women's cross country, volleyball and men's basketball teams each won a Skyway title. Women's tennis, women's soccer, golf, men's cross country and women's basketball each finished second.

The conference competition is consistently fierce, making this coveted trophy a true prize of grit, hard work and ultimate triumph. Thanks to the talented athletes, coaches and staff, the award was once again returned home.

"We're very excited to have this trophy back home where it belongs. The competition gets harder every year, and it's never easy to get this award year-in and year-out. We have extremely talented athletes, dedicated and skilled coaches, and unbelievable staff who all work together to make Moraine Valley Athletics one of the best in the NJCAA," said Bill Finn, Moraine Valley Athletics director. "This award truly represents our athletic excellence and demonstrates how we help our students succeed on the field and in the classroom."
