Decent times at rainy Bradley Pink Classic

The Cyclones ran all four women for the first time this season at the Bradley Pink Classic at Newman Golf Course in Peoria. Along the cold and muddy course, they pushed through for some decent times against mostly NCAA Division I schools.

"The women did really well considering they ran after the men and had to deal with a messier course. It was the first time we had all four women compete together, and they persevered through the cold and rain," said Head Coach Dimitri Dimizas.

Annabel Lipkie ran well as she has all season, finishing first for the Cyclones in 150th place out of 181 runners in 29:38.8. This was Mariah Karamagianis's first 6K, in her return after not having raced since the first meet of the season. She finished in 164th in 32:07.0. Lizbeth Juarez-Castillo ran her second race of the season, which was four minutes faster, for 170th in 33:24.2. Naya Padayao is still recovering from an injury but toughed it out and gave a solid performance in her second race of the season in 177th in 36:12.4.

"I'm looking forward to some better weather this week, which will lead to faster times for the conference championship," Dimizas said.

The Cyclones will host the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference championship on Saturday, Oct. 21 with the women starting at 11 a.m.
