The Cyclones are gearing up for NJCAA Region 4 playoffs with a tri-match, where they handily defeated Spoon River College and nationally ranked Rock Valley College.

Moraine Valley first swept Spoon River 3-0: 25-21, 25-11, 25-22. Ava Pequette had 27 assists and 13 digs while Lily Avelar led with 23 digs. Mary Zielinski tallied 16 kills, and Brooklyn Condon collected 22 digs.

This next match was the second time the Cyclones faced Rock Valley and won, this time going 3-1: 22-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-12. Pequette amassed a massive 42 assists along with 19 digs. Zielinski had 24 kills and 17 digs while Avelar collected 17 digs. Condon and Sophia Davidson each finished with 15 digs.

The Cyclones will host the NJCAA Region 4 quarterfinals on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 6 p.m. against a team to be determined.
