The Cyclones felt good and were ready to play against host Elgin Community College. Moraine Valley won 9-0 in the matchup.

The Spartans were down a few players, forfeiting a number of spots. The matches that did occur, however, were well played. Amanda Hess earned a victory at No. 4 singles after going 6-1, 6-4. Olivia Preston pulled out a win and bounced back at No. 5 singles in a three-set tie breaker (3-6, 6-0, 10-3). At No. 6 singles, Nada Hinnawi earned a bagel (6-0, 6-0). Preston and Hinnawi also earned a victory at No. 3 doubles, going 6-0, 6-3 in the match.

"Elgin was an amazing host, and they enjoyed the meet, so I think everyone went home happy," said Head Coach Matt Marusarz. "My players are ready to go and put the work in. As a coach, I couldn't ask for more."
