Cyclone women's tennis signs first recruit for 2020-21

Amanda Hess is the first recruit signed for the 2020-21 Cyclone women's tennis season.

Hess was a four-year girls' tennis player at Lincoln-Way West High School. During that time, she competed in both singles and doubles and was always ready to do what was best for the team. In her senior year, she finished second in the South West Suburban Conference Red Division Tournament, competing in the third singles flight. Her contributions during the conference tournament secured a second place overall team finish, up two spots from the previous year.

"While the Lincoln-Way West Girls' Tennis Program will miss a competitor like Amanda, we wish her nothing but the best as she enters college playing for Moraine Valley. There is no doubt that she will have an immediate impact on that program. Her hard work and determination will drive her to more and more success on the tennis courts," said Lincoln-Way West varsity girls' tennis Head Coach John Cupp.

"We are excited to get a top-flight women's tennis player from Lincoln-Way West. Amanda will become one of the core pieces of our team this fall," said Bill Finn, Cyclone Athletics director.
