Dominant home opener

Dominant home opener

The Cyclones were dominant in their home opener, crushing Kishwaukee College 8-0.

The fast-moving Cyclones took possession of the ball immediately, and kept control of this game. Within the first four minutes, the Cyclones were able to get their first goal on a shot from Olivia Jeziorczak. Nine minutes later, Natalia Ochab added another. In the following three minutes, Betzaida Lopez and Dyani Calderon each netted one to go up 4-0. The Cyclones knocked a final goal in the last 36 seconds, thanks to Jade Guzman, before halftime.

In the second half, the Cyclones didn't ease off the gas too much but still controlled the ball. Calderon shot one past the keeper seven minutes in, and it wasn't until the last six minutes when Dominica Villasenor netted one. A couple minutes later, Megan O'Neill shot one through the keepers legs for the final to seal the win.
