Women's soccer opened their season at Kankakee Community College, bringing home a win.

The game was nearly scoreless for the first half until the Cavaliers slid one in four minutes before halftime. Moraine Valley got things going six minutes into the second half when sophomore Dyani Calderon scored. Nine minutes later, it was followed up by a goal from Natalia Ochab. Megan O'Neill had both assists. Despite some attempts from the Cavaliers, the Cyclone defense was able to hold off any countering for their first 2-1 victory.
