Slow and steady wins the game

It took some time, but once the Cyclones found their rhythm, they were able to seal the 72-55 victory over College of Lake County.

Every time the Cyclones scored, the Lancers answered throughout the first quarter, ending in a 17-17 tie. Moraine Valley tried to widen the gap and had a few Lake County turnovers to help extend the lead to 42-33 by halftime.

Several threes in the third quarter from Reagan Cameron, Aubree Schultz and Mary Chronopoulou gave the Cyclones a boost. They held the Lancers' offense off in the fourth quarter for nearly five minutes and continued scoring for the ultimate win.

Cameron led with 26 points, including five three-pointers. Jayla Lamb had 14 points and eight rebounds. Schultz finished with 12 buckets and seven assists. Andrea Robertson led under the basket with 12 rebounds and added three blocks.
