The Cyclones' opening season game at the Parkland Tournament was for working out the bugs. They fell 59-36 to host Parkland College.

It was a slow start for the Cyclones as they were only able to score five points in the first quarter on a three-pointer from Aubree Schultz and field goal from Jayla Lamb. The Cyclones also fell behind the Cobras on rebounds 29-51.

Aden Edebali led the offense with 12 points and Schultz added 10. Edebali also had seven rebounds, nearly all on defense.
