Starting the year off right

In their opening game of 2020, the Cyclones outdid Waubonsee Community College, winning the outing 75-44.

The Cyclones know they're up for a good fight with the Chiefs, but this game saw pure domination from Moraine Valley. After the first quarter, the Cyclones led 20-6. The second quarter was much the same as the Cyclones dominated the glass and the defense held the Chiefs to only eight. The Cyclones pressed, and Nicole Poole started the third quarter on fire with a block and two threes to help extend the lead. Selena Guerra, who was injured the first half of the season, was able to see some playing time and add some buckets (seven) for the win. She also led with eight rebounds. Kirsten Kamholz led the offense with 22 points. Chelsea Cross added 11 points and five steals. Marty Reeves had a team-high eight steals and six assists.
