Good ball

When the pressure is on, the Cyclones resort to what they know best—playing good basketball. Moraine Valley faced the always challenging Kankakee Community College Cavaliers, expecting to put up a good fight. They ended up with a 15-point win.

The Cyclones won 89-74, the first time they let their opponents score more than 65 points since Dec. 14, which shows their power on the court but also that they'll be facing some tougher teams in the coming weeks. The pressure is mounting as the team nears the playoffs, and their opponents are coming for them. The Cavaliers were ready to play, but were no match for the quickness, smooth passes and scoring prowess of these Cyclones. Julia Ruzevich led the way with 20 points followed by Ashley Hunter (17 points, six assists, four steals), Hennessey Handy (14 points, nine assists), Erin Greenfield (12 points, six rebounds) and Kate Ruzevich (10 points). Elizabeth Coffey had another strong night under the net with eight rebounds.
