Always a serious matchup, the Cyclones faced conference rival Waubonsee Community College and grabbed their second straight win of the year.

The Chiefs jumped to a 5-3 lead before Hennessey Handy sunk a three-pointer to get her team ahead where they remained the rest of the game. The Cyclones led by double digits for most of the second half until Waubonsee fought to get within four with 51 seconds left in the third quarter. Going into the fourth quarter, the Cyclones went on a much needed 22-1 run to surge to a 71-46 lead with four minutes left for the eventual 75-62 win. Julia Ruzevich led with 18 points and nine rebounds. Kate Ruzevich had a double-double (17 points, 12 rebounds).
